No, we’re NOT discussing chickens and eggs… we’re talking about brushing and flossing or is it flossing and brushing?
Brushing certainly comes before flossing in the dictionary, but according to the Oral Health Foundation (in the UK), not so when it comes to our teeth.
New research has shown interdental cleaning (flossing string or brush) before actual tooth brushing is the best way to clean our teeth effectively. The study found that flossing loosens bacteria and food debris from between the teeth, which allows brushing to be much more successful at removing plaque.
